singer / songwriter / keyboard
Singer/keyboardist Alejandro Millán is a recording and touring musician. He is best known for his work with the dutch composer Arjen Lucassen (Stream of Passion, Ayreon) and mexican band Elfonía.
Alejandro began his music career at a very young age. When he was five he began playing the flute and singing in choirs. He quit music when he was 10 years old because he didn’t see a future for himself (ha!). He started writing songs on the piano at 11 and since then has never stopped. Only three years later he started recording his own music, played in musicals and eventually toured with several bands.
During his college years, he won several songwriting and singing awards. This led him to get one of his songs placed in Los Claxons' debut album (Latin Grammy nominees). Soon after, he self-produced his own music, releasing three albums independently. Eventually he produced artists like Vigo Gabelah and Mercy.
Alejandro has toured in more than 10 countries in Europe and North America. He's worked with artists like Lori Linstruth (Stream of Passion), Damian Wilson (Threshold) and Joost van den Broek (After Forever).
He currently studies vocal performance at the LA Music Academy in Pasadena, California. He's had the privilege to study under Grammy nominated singer Tierney Sutton, Dorian Holley (Michael Jackson), Jerry Watts Jr. (Herbie Hancock, Keith Emerson, Sheryl Crow, Billy Idol, John Daversa Big Band) and Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai, Tony MacAlpine) amongst others.
